Philippe Patrick Starck (born January 18, 1949) is a French product designer. His designs range from interior designs to mass-produced consumer goods such as toothbrushes, chairs, and even houses.
Regarding Starck's furniture designs, he is widely known for his designs for the Italian manufacturer Kartell, many of which are made from polycarbonate plastic. These include the transparent Louis Ghost chair, Ero|S| chair, Bubble Club Sofa and Armchair, and La Bohème stool.
Slick Slick is the essence of a chair, in the philosophical sense one might almost say! A concentrate of elegance and intelligence, it is emblematic of the creativity and vision of Starck, which can be summed up in his determination to offer the right product at the right price. This very affordable chair nevertheless benefits from the most advanced technology, gas-assisted injection, thanks to which Slick Slick is so light and yet so strong.
