Philippe Patrick Starck (born January 18, 1949) is a French product designer. His designs range from interior designs to mass-produced consumer goods such as toothbrushes, chairs, and even houses.
Regarding Starck's furniture designs, he is widely known for his designs for the Italian manufacturer Kartell, many of which are made from polycarbonate plastic. These include the transparent Louis Ghost chair, Ero|S| chair, Bubble Club Sofa and Armchair, and La Bohème stool.
Colorful, lighthearted and practical, the Prince AHA Stool is an entertaining accessory for the home and the backyard. Composed of two polypropylene cones in an hourglass figure, Prince AHA works well as both a stool and a bedside or living room stand. It provides interesting visual contrasts between the smooth and ridged surfaces and the rounded and linear edges of the cones, further enhanced by the springtime palette. Prince AHA's inviting shape, textures and colors make it a charming element in a child's room, a garden in bloom, or the bedroom. Designed by: Philippe Starck, 1996
